Mother's Day 2010

For Mother's Day this year Gordon got all four of us to Arnold Arboretum for Lilac Sunday.  Every year on Mother's Day you are allowed to picnic in the arboretum and the lilacs are in full bloom.  I have been wanting to make it there for a few years now, but last year I came home from the hospital with Quinn on Mother's Day and the years prior we didn't have our act together enough to get farther than Cambridge.

So G took it upon himself to get us packed up and to the arboretum.  He and Lily went out that morning and procured a lovely picnic lunch of bread, cheese, fruit and dried sausage.  When Quinn woke up from his nap we jumped in the car, drove to Jamaica Plain and even found reasonable parking.  It was a little cooler, but we still had a lovely time strolling around, drinking lemonade and smelling the lilacs.   Here are some photos from the day.

After we had our fill of flowers we got back in the car and drove to Fall River for dinner at Grammy and Papa's with Uncle Eric.  Hijinks ensued.
