If we just focus on his Mom's side for now - his Mom has four sisters and one brother.  They all have at least one child.  So he's got nine first cousins, to my three.  (Of course my first cousins are ALSO my second cousins... so there's that - I'll let you think about that one for a bit.  Here's a hint though: it's totally "ok" - and not icky weird).

I absolutely LOVE visiting Gordon's family in  Toronto. WHAT???  I'm still marveling at the fact that there's a baby in our house and you know what - he's hardly a baby anymore!  It seems like a LOT has happened for our little Q this month. Such a big step and one we had all been waiting and hoping for.  He was set up in his own room when I got there.  The only tubes left are the feeding tube and the foley catheter. From my perspective there was a big change with Dad from Saturday to my return on Monday.   He was awake on Sunday, but they had to put the catheter back in and that didn't go so well. I didn't write about it here at the time, but during my pregnancy with Lily I was on a drug called Imuran to manage my myasthenia gravis.  The drug did a great job keeping me stable, but it's a drug with side effects and its safety during pregnancy is uncertain. It was a growth ultrasound and it sounds like there will be a couple more before all is said and done because of the GD.  It's funny, most women only get one ultrasound and would be psyched for more.  Being high-risk, I got a ton and am starting to get a little tired of it. Turns out she was pretty sick.  Her doctor kept commending me for bringing her in at "just the perfect time".  He was saying how he's seen a hundred children with nothing more than viral infections so it was nice to find one who actually needed a doctor.
